From 2 to 8 pages
For the now defunct yearly comic competition Benelux Beeldverhalen Prijs, I made a story about a girl, Mascha, coming home from a tyring, hot schoolday (see images below). There was a two-page limit and after not having been picked out as one of the prizewinners, one of the jury members, Maaike Hartjes, suggested to make a longer story withe the same theme. The result was a 8 pages story called ‘Zomer’ (Summer) and it was published in Dutch comic magazine Zone 5300, with an additional cover.
